conj ( A) And. Between this copulative and ani there is a difference. They agree in joining together in one proposition, or under the same predication, two or more members or subjects; as He and I came; Day and night are alike; but where conjunction is to be effected of sentences or clauses expressing different truths, or exhibiting, the one, a cause, ground, reason &c., the other, an effect, a consequence, an accompaniment &c., there, not va, but ani is used. Ex. mi alo ṃani to gela; surya ugavala ani mi uthalo; nto kala ani ha gora.
