m (hata Hand, panha Descent of milk into the udder of a cow &c. from maternal yearnings, or on her seeing food placed before her.) The ready yielding of her milk by a cow, buffalo &c. upon the application to her udder of the hand of the milker (i. e. without there being a necessity of presenting to her her calf or any inducing food). Note. The oblique cases are mostly in use; as hatapanhasa (lagane, ṃyene &c.); ṃhata- panhyaci (gaya &c.)
